It’s harvest time in downtown Hendersonville, as the Apples head to the auction block. Fifteen fresh, delightful, artfully decorated apples come up for public auction on Saturday, October 24. Everyone is invited to attend the auction, it’s sure to be “appeeling” to residents and visitors alike.

- 8:00 am-10:00 am – Harvesting of apples at Historic Henderson County Courthouse on Main Street
- 10:00 am- 2:00 pm – Tom Brown “Hendersonville’s One Man Band” featuring variety music
- 10:00 am-2:30 pm – Apples on display (sponsors and artists will be present to talk with bidders, media and visitors)
- 11:00 am-2:30 pm – Fundraiser luncheon at the courthouse featuring a chicken lunch plate offered by the Four Seasons Rotary Club. Tickets are $8 per plate.
- 2:00 pm-2:30 pm - Artist and Sponsor recognition ceremony
- 2:30 pm-Until – Public Auction of the apples – Stan Shelley and Joette Humphreys of Shelley’s Jewelry and Auction Gallery will serve as auctioneers.
Fifteen apples come to the auction block this year. Bidding on all apples will begin at $250. 50% of each winning bid will go to a local charity of winning bidder’s choice. 50% of each winning bid will go to Downtown Hendersonville, Inc. for future Public Art Display Expenses and Promotions.
